Installation & Commissioning

Precision Installation & Commissioning. Built for Performance from Day One.

What Is Installation & Commissioning and Why Getting It Right Matters

Industrial installation and commissioning is the process of physically setting up, connecting, calibrating, testing and validating a machine or production system before it enters full commercial operation. When done correctly, commissioning eliminates startup failures, protects capital investment and ensures that equipment performs exactly as designed from day one.

When done poorly it creates years of unreliable performance, safety risk and unplanned downtime.

At INGSOL, installation and commissioning is not a formality but it is an engineering discipline. Our teams combine deep mechanical, electrical and automation expertise with structured execution processes to deliver industrial equipment that starts right, runs reliably and meets defined performance parameters before it is ever handed over to your operators.

We work across blown film lines, printing machines, lamination machines, slitting machines, and CPP lines, supporting both new installations and complete machine relocations. Every project is executed with a single commitment: production readiness with zero compromise on quality or safety.

What INGSOL Does

Our Installation & Commissioning Services

Blown Film Lines:

Complete line setup, including extruder positioning, die head alignment, cooling ring installation, haul-off, and winder systems

Printing Machines

Precision installation of flexographic and gravure printing lines with registration and tension system setup.

Lamination Machines

Mechanical and electrical installation covering bonding systems, tension control, and dryer alignment.

Slitting Machines

High-accuracy installation of slitting and rewinding equipment with speed and tension calibration.

Cast polypropylene

Full cast film line installation from die mounting to winder commissioning.

Precision Commissioning & System Validation

Installation places the machine. Commissioning makes it perform. INGSOL’s commissioning process is a structured, systematic validation not a quick startup. Our engineers run step-by-step trial sequences from low-speed operation through full-capacity production, validating every critical parameter before handover.

Commissioning activities include:

  • Safety interlock verification and checks before first startup
  • System calibration as per OEM manufacturer specifications
  • Step-by-step trial runs from low speed to full rated capacity
  • Validation of key quality parameters: thickness, tension, speed, and surface quality
  • Electrical and control system validation, including PLC and drive verification
  • Utility system checks compressed air circuits, cooling systems, and network connections

Relocation commissioning includes:

  • Laser-guided levelling to ±0.1 mm per OEM specification
  • Alignment using dial indicators and precision laser tools
  • Full utility reconnection and system calibration
  • Trial runs with validation of all performance parameters
  • Operator training and handover with performance documentation

Machine Relocation: Installation After Relocation

INGSOL manages complete machine relocation projects, handling dismantling, documentation, safe transportation, reinstallation and full recommissioning at the new site. Our relocation service is built around one principle: the machine performs exactly as it did before often better. We have successfully relocated machines across India, UAE, Egypt, Oman and Saudi Arabia.

Automation & PLC Commissioning

As part of our industrial automation capability, INGSOL engineers commission PLC-controlled systems, drive upgrades and integrated automation packages. Whether you are adding automation to an existing line or commissioning a fully upgraded system, our engineers bring the electrical and control engineering depth to validate performance with precision.

PLC and automation commissioning covers:

  • Siemens and ABB PLC and drive systems
  • Winder automation, including tension and roll quality validation
  • Haul-off and cage system speed synchronisation
  • Extruder and die zone control system commissioning
  • Motion system performance and repeatability checks

How We Deliver

Our 4-Step Installation & Commissioning Process

INGSOL follows a structured, proven process that eliminates ambiguity and ensures complete production readiness at every project milestone.

STEP 1: ASSESSMENT & PLANNING

Every installation begins with a thorough site assessment and planning phase. Our engineers audit the machine, the facility, and the production environment to identify requirements, constraints, and the precise execution scope.

  • Machine and process audit to define commissioning scope
  • Site readiness verification: foundation, utilities, and access
  • Risk identification and safety planning
  • Project timeline with defined milestones and responsibilities

STEP 2: PRECISION INSTALLATION

Our installation execution is planned to protect production continuity and minimise downtime. We deploy trained engineering teams who work systematically, document every step, and maintain complete accountability through the installation process.

  • Systematic mechanical assembly per OEM guidelines
  • Tagging and labelling of all electrical and pneumatic connections
  • Laser-guided levelling and precision alignment
  • Full photographic and digital documentation of all stages
  • Utility reconnection, including compressed air, cooling circuits, and control networks

STEP 3: COMMISSIONING & TESTING

System validation is the core of what we deliver. INGSOL engineers do not hand over a machine that has not been tested to defined performance parameters. Our commissioning process is thorough, documented, and transparent.

  • Safety interlock checks before startup
  • System calibration to manufacturer specifications
  • Step-by-step trial runs from low speed to full capacity
  • Quality parameter validation: thickness, tension, speed, surface finish
  • PLC and automation performance confirmation
  • Issue identification and resolution before handover

STEP 4: TRAINING & HANDOVER

Commissioning is complete only when your operators can run the machine confidently, and your maintenance team understands how to keep it performing. INGSOL provides structured operator training and a formal performance-confirmed handover with complete documentation.

  • Operator training on machine startup, running, and shutdown
  • Maintenance team briefing on critical systems and service points
  • Handover documentation, including commissioning report and parameter records
  • Performance confirmation sign-off by INGSOL engineer and customer
