Solar RESCO
Solar power, zero capital investment.
Many manufacturers want the cost savings of solar but do not have capital earmarked for infrastructure investment, or prefer not to take on the operational responsibility of owning a power plant. Solar RESCO, short for Renewable Energy Service Company, removes both barriers. Under this model, INGSOL or a financing partner funds, builds, owns, and operates the solar plant, and your company simply consumes the power it produces.
You pay only for the electricity generated, at a pre-agreed rate under a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), typically lower than your existing grid tariff. There is no capital outlay, no asset to depreciate or maintain, and no operational burden on your team. It is the fastest, lowest-friction path to solar adoption for manufacturers who want savings without becoming a power plant operator.
What Our Solar RESCO Service Includes
Evaluation of your plant's energy consumption, available space, and grid connection to confirm RESCO feasibility and estimate savings.
INGSOL or a financing partner funds and owns the plant, structured so your company has no capital exposure or asset liability.
The plant is engineered, built, and commissioned by INGSOL to the same standard as an EPC project, the difference is who owns it afterward.
A clear, pre-agreed tariff structure for the electricity you consume, typically set below your current grid rate, for the term of the agreement.
Ongoing plant operation and maintenance handled entirely by the RESCO provider, so your team has zero maintenance burden.
Continuous monitoring of plant output and performance, with reporting so you can track consumption and savings over time.
Why Solar RESCO Matters
Zero Capex Removes the Biggest Barrier
RESCO makes solar accessible even for plants with no budget earmarked for infrastructure investment.
Savings Start on Day One.
Savings begin as soon as the plant is commissioned, with no waiting period to recover an upfront investment.
Predictable Energy Costs.
A pre-agreed PPA tariff protects against unpredictable grid tariff increases for the term of the agreement.
No Operational Burden.
With O&M handled by the RESCO provider, your team stays focused on production, not managing a power asset.
How We Deliver
1. Site & Load Assessment
Our engineers evaluate your energy consumption, available space, and grid connection to confirm feasibility and estimate savings.
2. Financing & Agreement Structuring.
Ownership and financing are structured with INGSOL or a financing partner, and PPA terms are agreed upon.
3. Design & Engineering
The plant is engineered and designed to match your site conditions and consumption patterns.
4. Construction & Commissioning.
Installation is carried out, and the plant is tested and commissioned before power delivery begins.
5. Ongoing Operation Under the PPA
The RESCO provider manages ongoing operations and maintenance, while you simply consume the power generated under the PPA.
Why Manufacturers Choose INGSOL for Solar RESCO
- Engineering-Led Design. Solar systems are sized around your plant’s real energy consumption and load profile, not a generic template.
- Same Engineering Standard as EPC. Whether you choose EPC or RESCO, the same engineering team designs and builds the plant, to the same quality standard.
- No Overengineering, No Upselling. We recommend the model and system size that fit your plant and priorities. No pressure toward one model over the other.
- Connected to the Rest of INGSOL. Solar sizing can be informed by real production data from DigitalX, aligning capacity with actual operational demand rather than estimates.
Not Sure If RESCO Is the Right Fit?
Solar RESCO removes the capital barrier entirely, but manufacturers with available capital and a long-term view of their facility may capture greater lifetime value through ownership. If you would rather own the asset outright and access applicable depreciation benefits, INGSOL also offers Solar EPC, a turnkey, engineering-procurement-construction model where your company owns the plant from day one. Visit our Solar EPC page or our EnergyX page for a full side-by-side comparison of both models.
Request a RESCO savings estimate and find out what a zero-capex solar plant could mean for your plant's energy costs.
