EnergyX

Two Ways to Go Solar: EPC or RESCO

Reducing energy costs without compromising output.

Energy is one of the largest and most volatile cost lines in flexible packaging and industrial manufacturing. Extrusion, printing, and lamination lines run energy-intensive equipment around the clock, which means even small reductions in per-unit energy cost translate into meaningful savings at scale. EnergyX addresses this directly, with industrial solar solutions customized for the load profiles and operating patterns of packaging plants.

Rather than offering a single, one-size-fits-all solar package, EnergyX gives manufacturers a choice in how they adopt solar: build and own the asset through Solar EPC, or adopt a zero-capex model through Solar RESCO, where INGSOL or a financing partner owns and operates the plant while you pay only for the power you use. Both paths are engineered around the same industrial-grade Solar PV systems.

Solar PV Systems, Engineered for Industrial Load

At the core of EnergyX is Solar PV design built specifically for manufacturing environments, not generic residential or commercial installations. Our engineers size and configure systems around your plant’s actual energy consumption patterns, available roof or ground space, and grid connection requirements.

Utilizing existing factory rooftop area for on-site generation, reducing dependence on grid power without requiring additional land.

Larger-scale installations on available land adjacent to or near the plant, suited for facilities with higher energy demand or limited rooftop capacity.

Systems designed to work alongside grid power, with net metering arrangements that optimize the balance between solar generation and grid draw.

Two Ways to Go Solar: EPC or RESCO

EnergyX delivers Solar PV systems through two distinct commercial models, so plants can choose the path that fits their capital position and risk appetite.

Solar EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction)

Under the EPC model, INGSOL designs, procures, and constructs the entire solar plant, and your company owns the asset outright from day one. This model suits manufacturers with available capital who want to maximize long-term savings and retain full control and value of the asset, including applicable incentives and depreciation benefits.

Solar EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction)

Solar RESCO (Renewable Energy Service Company)

Under the RESCO model, INGSOL or a financing partner builds, owns, and operates the solar plant on or near your premises. You pay only for the electricity generated, typically at a rate lower than grid tariffs, through a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), with no upfront capital investment and no operations and maintenance burden on your team.

Why It Matters

How It Works

Site & Load Assessment

1. Site & Load Assessment.

Our engineers evaluate your plant’s energy consumption, available space, and grid connection to determine system size and configuration.

Model Selection.

2. Model Selection.

We help you compare EPC and RESCO based on your capital position, savings goals, and risk preference.

Design & Deployment.

3. Design & Deployment.

System design, procurement, and installation, or, under RESCO, financing and ownership, are completed by our engineering team.

Commissioning & Testing.

4. Commissioning & Testing.

Commissioning and performance testing to confirm the system generates at the expected capacity before handover or PPA activation.

Ongoing Support.

5. Ongoing Support

Under EPC, we offer optional O&M support; under RESCO, ongoing operations and maintenance are included as part of the agreement.

Why Manufacturers Choose INGSOL for Solar

  • Engineering-Led Design. Solar systems are sized around your plant’s real energy consumption and load profile, not a generic template.
  • One Partner, Either Model. A single team designs and delivers both EPC and RESCO options, so recommendations are based on your situation, not a fixed sales model.
  • No Overengineering, No Upselling. We recommend the model and system size that fit your plant. No oversized systems, no inflated scope.
  • Connected to the Rest of INGSOL. EnergyX decisions can be informed by real production data from DigitalX, aligning energy strategy with actual plant operations rather than treating it as a separate initiative.
